Silver Cat Psychotherapy is my private practice, through which I offer one to one gestalt psychotherapy and therapeutic groupwork. For information about my private practice, see my gestalt therapy bristol website. My practice is based in Bristol, UK.
Readers becoming clients
If you have become interested in seeing me for therapy through reading my blog, that is fine. One thing to consider is that if we have dialogue through this blog or my twitter account, then that relationship would change if I became your therapist. This is something we can discuss either in an initial phone call or in our initial session.
Clients becoming readers
If you’re in therapy with me, then it’s fine for you to either read or not read this blog; it’s your choice. I’d like for you to tell me you’ve come across it, but that’s just my preference; it’s your choice. Be aware that my own experience, opinions and history will come through in what I write, either directly or indirectly. Some people enjoy reading about their therapists in this way, some people don’t. You are welcome to explore how you feel about it with me.
My practice-blog boundary
I will never use material from sessions with my clients on this blog. I might talk hypothetically about what I might do in such and such a situation, but I will never use historical examples.
